This poster featuring a detail from Untitled (check painting) #15 (2004) was produced in 2005, in conjunction with Richard Prince: Check Paintings at Gagosian, Beverly Hills. Recalling the assemblage works of Robert Rauschenberg and Jasper Johns, the large-scale painting incorporates blank bank checks—the artist’s own—as part of the canvas support, on which his trademark “joke” texts have been inscribed:
